Worldwide Tacos is the name of this food spot in the Jefferson Park Area of Los Angeles. I’d heard about this place and folks saying these are the best tacos ever! Like seriously? Really? The best tacos ever???? So I felt a little inspired to check them out.
I went a couple of days ago…nice, breezy day in LA and I was in the neighborhood…the hunger bug attacked and I was feeling a tad bit adventurous. Why not try them out? One thing is for sure by the looks of this place I wouldn’t have touched it with a ten foot pole. I am often surprised by what I experience in this grand city of Los Angeles by just closing my eyes and diving in. It’s really amazing!
OK…back to taco land Christann! *smile*
I walked up to the window and looked at their endless menu, and I do mean endless. This place serves every kind of taco and burrito known to man. Literally! Veggie tacos, turkey tacos, beef tacos, shrimp tacos, jerk chicken tacos, steak tacos, and the list goes on. They serve over 150 different kinds of tacos.cialis online Too much? I think so. But hey..what do I know? So I placed my order, two hard shell turkey tacos with everything and my friend ordered three shrimp tacos. How much? $18.00. How long? 45 minutes!!!!! What the H-E-double hockey sticks!?!?!?!? Are you serious?!?!? The cashier then asked for my phone number to call me when the order would be ready for me to pick up!
OMG!!
I started thinking…does this place really take this long to prepare some tacos? WOW! Then there was a sign on the window that read “You order can take between 15 minutes & 2 hours.” WHAT!?!?!?
Keep your cool Christann is what I kept telling myself! Just keep your cool…you are trying something new and different. So just remain open to the experience. LOL!!!
So my friend and I left and ran a few errands..all the while discussing how long this taco process was going to take. Has there been an announcement of a slow-food movement that I didn’t know about? I mean really?
After all was said and done…I took 48 (FORTY EIGHT MINUTES) for FIVE TACOS!!! Using a little math…that comes out to 9.6 MINUTES PER TACO!!!! THE NERVE!!!!
WHERE IS THE KOJI TRUCK!!?!?!?!?!?
at least they had an “A”
LOL!!!
“All day I think about it, then at night I say it.
Where did I come from, and what am I supposed to be doing?
I have no idea.
My soul is from elsewhere, I’m sure of that,
and I intend to end up there.
This drunkenness began in some other tavern.
When I get back around to that place,
I’ll be completely sober. Meanwhile,
I’m like a bird from another continent, sitting in this aviary.
The day is coming when I fly off,
but who is it now in my ear who hears my voice?
Who says words with my mouth?
Who looks out with my eyes? What is the soul?
I cannot stop asking.
If I could taste one sip of an answer,
I could break out of this prison for drunks.
I didn’t come here of my own accord, and I can’t leave that way.
Whoever brought me here, will have to take me home.
This poetry. I never know what I’m going to say.
I don’t plan it.
When I’m outside the saying of it,
I get very quiet and rarely speak at all.”

At times, I just sit and allow my mind to wander. I guide the wandering of my mind and sometimes I laugh at the direction it goes. This is one of those times.
I enjoy playing with words…situations and scenarios…and I write them down. J’ai beaucoup (I have many) ideas for films that I am working on…but in no way consider myself a writer (at the present moment). But I do enjoy writing. Enough about that…..on to my new word play.
Cereal Dating…..
This is geared toward my single individuals….those who are dating. I’m playing with the word Cereal or Serial and those who date and have no intention of making a serious commitment to the one they are dating…hence, a Serial Dater.
Ever walk down the cereal aisle at your local grocery store and see the variety of boxes available. Your eyes get big, the box is all colorful and flashy, it is cinnamon sweetness makes your mouth water…but then you walk further down the aisle and another box with flax and pumpkin seeds, brown sugar yumminess attracts you and you pick it up. But wait, what about the first box? Its cinnamony and sweet, its fun to eat and you like it. But the pumpkin flaxseed is healthy and wholesome….you enjoy it every now and again….
You’re attracted to another box of corn flakes frosted with some sweet junk….try it? why not? Its only cereal….and you can buy the box, take it home, eat it and if you don’t enjoy it….you won’t buy it again. That’s what its about, walking down the cereal aisle and trying whatever kind of cereal you want and making not making a commitment to any one particular. Right???
I admit…I like lists. I like checking things off. Here is a list that I found and it inspired me….hope you find a number to relate to or two! *smile*

“To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I’ve ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more.”
1. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.
8. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
9. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
10. Make pace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.
11. It’s OK to let your children see you cry.
12. Don’t compare your life to other. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
13. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn’t be in it.
14. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don’t worry; God never blinks.
15. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
16. Get ride of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.
17. Whatever doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger.
18. It’s never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.
19. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don’t take no for an answer.
20. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don’t save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
21. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
22. Be eccentric now. Don’t wait for old age to wear purple.
23. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
24. Frame every so-called disaster with these words “In five years, will this matter?”
25. Always choose life.
26. Forgive everything everything.
27. What other people think of you is none of your business.
28. Time heals almost everything. Give time, time.
29. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
30. Don’t take yourself so seriously. N one else does.
31. Believe in miracles.
32. God love you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn’t do.
33. Don’t audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
34. Growing old beats the alternative–dying young.
35. Your children get only one childhood.
36. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
37. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
38. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab our back.
39. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
40. The best is yet to come.
Me likey!!!
